There’s something that
keeps calling out to you.

Whether you’re on your commute to work, spending yet another Saturday doing overtime in the office or sitting on the couch binging The Real Housewives — you find yourself daydreaming about more. The life you’re currently living feels off. Life’s not bad but it’s definitely not what you dreamed of.

To be honest, it feels like you’re sleepwalking through life. It’s not that you don’t have BIG dreams. But sometimes they feel big so you push them down not knowing how to get there.

The one thing you do know is those dreams of yours…

  • The vacations in Bali
  • The downpayment for your dream home in the city, and even
  • Nights out at Morton’s ordering whatever you want
require money!

And you can’t figure out how to make your income work the way you want it to. So you’re left feeling unfulfilled and stuck about what to do next.

I know how overwhelming money can feel.

Afterall, no one really talked about it let alone taught you how to manage it. You were thrown into the world without financial literacy so you’re struggling to take control of your financial life — let alone use money to fund your dream life.

If you could get over the idea that money is scary, daunting, excruciatingly tedious, and hard to understand, you’d finally…

The reality is…

You’ve been binging on the Journey to Launch podcast so you know it’s possible but you still don’t know exactly where to start

Read (and re-read) The Total Money Makeover and Think and Grow Rich but the weight of debt keeps you from being hopeful

Downloaded budget spreadsheets that sit in Google Drive unused because you’re simply overwhelmed with the numbers

No matter if you...

  • Secretly wonder if you can still enjoy life on your road to financial freedom so curiosity led you here,
  • Know you need to buckle down and budget, but are struggling to spend less and save more; or
  • Already sold on the Financial Independence, Retire Early (F.I.R.E.) movement and simply looking for community and accountability.

You’re in the right place!

If you’re ready to take the first step towards your wildest financial dreams, let’s take the next step together….

“I used to like panic anxiety attacks, wondering what if I lose this job? What am I going to do? How am I going to do this? But now I’m confident and I’m like “Okay I got this!” [After taking this course] My 401k increased by $55,000 from March 2020 to August 2020 from increasing my 401k savings rate from 10 to 14%.

You get a return on your investment [but also] intangibles, like your mindset, your thought process…just opening up yourself to different possibilities and surrounding yourself with that energy.”

-Stacy Ann

let's dig into the details

So what is Financial Independence anyway?

Financial Independence simply means you have the choice to work or not work whenever you want because you have enough revenue from passive income and investments to be “work flexible”. Imagine saying goodbye to a job where your boss and bi-weekly paycheck determine how you live your life, and hello to living on your own terms.

The simplest way to obtain financial independence is to increase your savings while lowering your spending or increasing your income. Most finance pros are simply focused on personal finances like helping you pay off debt and save more money, which is great. But there’s more work to do to truly be financially free.

I’ll show you how to go beyond budgeting and simply managing your money. I’m here to show you the exact steps you can take to get off the corporate treadmill way before age 60 and focus on what keeps calling out to you. I want you to truly live a meaningful and fulfilled life.

Financial independence is in your reach with these money moves.

Most people start at this first step.

Master Personal Finance

Learn to save, stick to your budget, prepare for emergencies, and control your impulses. During this phase, you’ll know exactly when, why and where your money is coming and going. No more surprise bank alerts or transferring from your savings every week. Begin to realize that you can do this.

You’re committed, now what?

Become Financially Free

This is a long game but once you start to track your money, more paths for flexibility will open up to you. These paths lead to more resilience, confidence and security knowing you’re fully protected financially. Last minute expense for the kids? Unexpected repair for the house? Want a new stove? No problem. You can handle this and more, while keeping your life afloat. This is what financial freedom is all about.

You’ve reached the mountaintop!

Reach Financial Independence

Your hard work paid off! You’ve finally reached your goal. If you want to quit your job tomorrow, you can, because you have passive streams of income that let your money go further. You get to choose how you want to spend your time rather than be forced to spend time at work.

The truth is most financial experts start and stop at educating you on personal finance.

They teach you how to manage your money but not how to earn more income or become truly financially independent. And that’s where I come in. I want to equip you with an abundant money mindset, a customized growth plan, community support and tools to help navigate your entire journey to a life you love.

Life can truly unfold in ways you never expected. This isn’t a one size fits all journey but it is one that is unique to you. The dreams you’re afraid to say out loud are yours.

I double dare you to think even BIGGER.

I dare you to imagine quitting your corporate job forever.

Imagine...

A happy and carefree life with less money problems, stress and guilt.

Doing (and having) what brings you joy no matter the price.

Feeling secure because retirement actually feels not only obtainable, but so close you can feel it.

Trusting your money moves because you have a financial framework to get you from where you are to where you want to be.

Your time is priceless.

Reclaim it.

I know someone told you to stick to the status quo and continue to do what’s expected of you. I challenge you to live on your terms, one-hundred percent. No more dreaded commutes, pointless Zoom meeting (that could have been an email) or being filled with anxiety trying to meet unrealistic deadlines. No more thinking about what your aunt, cousin or friends would say. Imagine turning in your letter of resignation and retiring in your 50s, 40s and even 30s. What could you do with that time?

Well, you could wake up at whatever time feels best for you and walk to the local coffee shop to read in the morning. Or maybe you want to pick your kids up from school to take them out for a “just because” lunch. Not quite? Okay. Instead, you could volunteer at the local community garden and afterwards, go out for drinks with friends during happy hour. You could start that passion project you never had time for. The thing is…you get to choose.

You don’t have to be tied to your computer in order for your needs to be met. If you’re in the position of loving your job on any given day and would never dream of leaving, Financial Independence is knowing that relying on a company or person for your income doesn’t have to be the end-all-be-all.

Trust me, you can tap into Financial Independence, Retire Early (F.I.R.E) methods and live your wildest dreams. You just need the right tools, strategies and mindset to get it done. This course is filled with them.

Financial Freedom Is Yours

“I literally was able to create a roadmap for myself from where I was financially when I started the course to when I want to reach early and/or flexible retirement. I had never thought I could achieve early retirement given my income but by the end of the course I was able to visually see that it is possible if I stay consistent with my roadmap. I also enjoyed that there are videos that explain each step. I have been able to pay off $11,000 of consumer debt, saved 6 months worth of expenses for my emergency fund, put 20% of my income towards retirement monthly, and thus far I have saved 50% of the money needed to purchase my own land.”

You get a return on your investment [but also] intangibles, like your mindset, your thought process…just opening up yourself to different possibilities and surrounding yourself with that energy.”

I actually calculated my number some time ago and had a plan of what I have to contribute monthly to achieve it but this really takes it to the next level. Thank you!”

Before the 10 steps course, I had no financial literacy. I didn’t even have the right questions to ask about how to build financial health. This is the first time in my life that I’m asking why I submit myself to a 60-hour workweek, or even a 40-hour workweek for that matter. And a lot of this shift has to do with the money mindset unlearning I’ve developed through listening to the podcast, doing the 10 steps course, and being involved in the Money Launch Club.

Until now.

Hey, I’m Jamila.

I’m a podcaster, writer and founder of JourneytoLaunch.com where I share my journey to reach Financial Independence while helping others, like you, do the same. I’ve been exactly where you are — living the okayest life. I didn’t hate my job, or life, but I didn’t love it either. I longed for more but pushed my dreams down because I couldn’t figure out how to make my dream life happen. Until I discovered the F.I.R.E. movement. My husband and I saved $169,000 in two years and, besides our mortgage, are completely debt free.

I’m the go-to financial thought leader in the personal finance field and is the resident financial expert on a weekly segment on News12, the most watched local TV news-station in NYC and have been featured in other notable media outlets such as ESSENCE, Refinery 29, Money Magazine, CNBC, CBS, Business Insider and more. The Journey To Launch Podcast was also named one of “27 Podcasts You Need To Start Listening To In 2018 by BuzzFeed.”

The only reason you aren’t taking it to the next level is because you don’t have a step-by-step plan to where you are now to where you want to be.

Until now.

have a question?

Ask Away.

Financial independence means you have enough personal wealth to live, without having to work actively for basic necessities. For financially independent people, their assets generate income that is greater than their expenses. I sometimes use the word Financial Independence and Financial Freedom interchangeably.
That’s completely fine. I was exactly where you are right now. We all start somewhere. Whether you’ve never had a budget or have a master’s degree in accounting, this program provides community, guidance and a classic kick in the butt to finally put yourself first. Although I don’t offer tailored investing advice during the course, I walk you through every aspect of Financial Independence from the top to the bottom, giving you every tool that helped me. We’re here to help.

A budget is a tiny piece of the money pie. In order to successfully get, gather and grow your funds, working on mindset is first. We’ll dig into why a budget hasn’t worked. Here’s a bit of a secret: It’s no one else’s fault. Discipline, compulsive spending, prioritizing your accounts and knowing when to say “no” are a few places we start.

Yes! The key word in Financial Independence is…independence! We all have haters who say slick comments and give plenty of side-eyes. If they don’t support you, they can simply observe as you create freedom into your life. The good thing about Journey to Financial Independence is there is a community available always. People who have gone through it, are going through it and have been down that road already. Lean on us.

FI can provide so many different kinds of opportunities to purchase what you want, but it is not the easiest of roads. Now, I won’t promise you a new Jeep or 6 bedroom mansion, but I will promise that the strategies that helped me become DEBT-FREE (besides the mortgage) and QUIT my full-time job so that I can focus on doing work I love and spend more time with my family.

The importance of shifting your perspective is knowing that you don’t always have to work for your money. Ultimately, your money should work for you. That comes after doing the work of learning, saving, budgeting and more, in order to be able to invest in you and your family’s future.

One-on-one coaching is not a part of the course, but you will have direct access to me during our coaching calls and in our Facebook community!

Every circumstance is completely different. When you take the course, you’ll be able to do your own calculations with the resources in the course to figure out how much you need to be financially independent and how long it will take you to get there.

There are many steps on the journey to Financial Independence. You’ll find Journeyers in the program at every stage. You’re bound to connect with people who are at a similar point in their journey. The bottom line is that we’re all working towards the same goal. To have our lives with no strings attached.

The FI Course is a targeted 10 step program designed to focus solely on completing your roadmap to Financial Independence. The Money Launch Club is an online paid membership community where you get ongoing additional classes, accountability and an online community. The doors to the Money Launch Club are currently closed.

The course will open enrollment again, but I cannot guarantee if the live group coaching component will be involved or if it will ever be at this introductory low price point again. If you want to get live coaching & the course at this price point, now is the time to join us.

Many students know it’s the right time for them when they are living paycheck to paycheck, tired of blowing money on things they don’t need and struggling to understand how to even get started. The “right” time may not exist. This simply may be the moment you have to take before the negative cycle continues. That is a question you have to answer yourself.

You’ll get instant access to your bonuses once you join the course. The course and and bonuses will be all accessible via Teachable. You’ll get the link to join the private Facebook community after purchase.

The coaching sessions will be recorded and uploaded in Teachable so that you can watch the replay on your own time.

It’s completely okay if you can’t complete the course within the 5 week live coaching component. This program is meant to be a self-paced course that you can complete on your own time. The coaching component is for those that want accountability and focus to complete the course in a short period of time. Even if you can’t complete the full course in 5 weeks, you can still benefit from the live coaching classes and pop up community.

Most course creators don’t issue refunds because you get instant access to course materials, but I’m confident that you’ll LOVE this course and the journey.  If you completed the course worksheets and still don’t feel like you were given the proper tools to create your roadmap to Financial Independence, email me your completed worksheets and I’ll happily issue a full refund.
